Great Black Cavern『#45_カンタヴィルの幽霊』

あらすじ

　ヴァージニアを引き留める刺繍の狩人にも、暖炉の飾り棚に彫られた動物にも耳を貸さず、彼らは部屋の奥へ進んだ。幽霊が何かを呟くと壁が消えて、二人の姿はその奥に消えた。

Horrible animals with lizard tails and goggle eyes blinked at her from the carven chimneypiece, and murmured,

　暖炉の飾り棚に彫られた、トカゲの尻尾とまん丸な眼をもつ恐ろしい動物たちが、ヴァージニアに驚いて目を瞬かせて、ささやきました。

“Beware! little Virginia, beware! we may never see you again,”

「気をつけなさい！リトルヴァージニア、気をつけなさい！私たちは二度とあなたに会えないかもしれません」
