あらすじ
面会の日時が書かれた手紙を見て、カーショーの妻は不安に思った。危険なことになるのではないかと。
しかし、乗り気になったドイツの友人から２ポンド借りて、カーショーは宿を出ていき、それきり戻らなかった。
そして彼の妻は警察に事情を話し、手紙を渡すこととなった。
