ある日、ミノキチは帰宅途中で少女に出会った。彼女はとても美しく、ミノキチは彼女の身の上話を聞くうちに、どんどん彼女に魅了された。ミノキチが彼女に婚約者はいるのか問うと、彼女は居ないとこたえた。
