ハリネズミの職業『#11_ミセス・ティギーウィンクルのおはなし』

あらすじ

　自分の農場に戻って来て、ルーシーはミセスティギーウィンクルに別れの挨拶をしようとした。しかしルーシーが振り返ると、ミセスティギーウィンクルの姿はなく、一匹の小さなハリネズミが丘を駆け上っていた。

Lucie scrambled up the stile with the bundle in her hand; and then she turned to say "Good-night," and to thank the washer-woman—But what a very odd thing! Mrs. Tiggy-winkle had not waited either for thanks or for the washing bill!

　ルーシーは自分の洗濯物の束を持って、農場の踏み段の上に登りました。
　それから、洗濯屋さんに「おやすみなさい」の挨拶とお礼を言おうとして彼女は振り返りました。

　ミセスティギーウィンクルは、ルーシーが感謝の言葉を言うのも洗濯物の代金を払うのも待ってくれませんでした。
